For sixteen years, he was a prison guard in California's highest security prisons, He belonged to an elite unit called the Investigative Services Unit (ISU, a branch of Internal Affairs). He became the largest "whistle-blower" to uncover a group of prison guards who called themselves "The Green Wall" or "GW's" or "723's" a prison gang established by Correctional Officers.
